Chris Niespodzianski is a Pittsburgh-based writer, director, producer, and author whose work spans independent film, television, screenwriting, development, packaging, production, and distribution. He co-directed and produced the feature film *The Other Side*, which was acquired for distribution by Gravitas Ventures, and is the co-writer and producer of the upcoming feature *#SKANK*, with cast attachments including Ron Perlman and Kevin Dillon. His television pilot *Fare Share* has earned recognition in national screenwriting competitions, and he continues to develop feature and television projects across multiple genres. Chris is also the author of *I’ll Most Likely Quit in the Morning*, a nonfiction filmmaking memoir about the experience of making *The Other Side*, from the decision to attempt a low-budget feature through the setbacks, mistakes, persistence, production challenges, and lessons that came with getting the film finished and distributed. His experience extends well beyond the page, including story development, fundraising, casting, packaging, production logistics, post-production, marketing, and distribution. That perspective shapes the way he approaches scripts: not simply as writing samples, but as stories that ultimately have to work for audiences, actors, directors, producers, and the realities of production. As a story consultant, Chris focuses on character, structure, tone, pacing, producibility, and helping writers strengthen the project they are actually trying to make rather than steering it toward someone else’s version of the story. He is also the co-creator of OneMoreDraft.com, an all-in-one platform and community built to give writers the tools, feedback, collaboration, professional resources, and opportunities they need to keep moving their work forward.
Over the past two decades, I have developed, written, produced, and directed independent film and television projects from concept through distribution. My hands-on experience includes screenplay development, packaging, fundraising, casting, production logistics, post-production, marketing, festival strategy, and distribution. I co-directed and produced the feature film *The Other Side*, which was acquired for distribution by Gravitas Ventures, and I am currently involved in multiple feature projects in development and pre-production, including *#SKANK* and *5*. I am also the author of *I’ll Most Likely Quit in the Morning*, a nonfiction filmmaking memoir about the experience of making *The Other Side* and the practical, often difficult realities of getting an independent feature finished and released. As a writer, I have developed feature films and television projects across drama, comedy, horror, thriller, science fiction, biographical crime, and fantasy. My work includes projects such as *Fare Share*, *Alpha Bravo Blue Sky*, *The Last Ride of Aldric Fenwick*, and *Before Your Eyes*. My approach to development and notes is shaped by both the page and the production process. I focus on structure, character, dialogue, pacing, tone, marketability, and producibility, with an emphasis on clear, actionable feedback that strengthens the writer’s intended version of the project rather than replacing it with my own. I am also the co-creator of OneMoreDraft.com, an all-in-one writing platform and community built to give writers the tools, feedback, collaboration, professional resources, and opportunities they need to develop and move their work forward.
