A reader's standardized evaluation of a screenplay — synopsis, comments, and a Pass / Consider / Recommend verdict.
Coverage is how the industry filters its reading pile: a reader distills a script into a top sheet (logline, ratings grid), a synopsis, and comments, capped with a verdict. Executives decide from the coverage; most scripts are never read past it.
For writers, buying coverage before submitting is a dress rehearsal — the same evaluation, received while there's still time to act on it.
