The story's landing — the brief 'after' picture showing how the world has changed.

The resolution (French: denouement, 'untying') follows the climax and shows the new equilibrium — often a deliberate mirror of the opening image, so the audience measures the change. It's usually short: the question is answered, and every page after that spends earned goodwill.
